The Wellpath Center is located in Kennesaw and convenient to residents of Acworth. When you arrive at The Wellpath Center, you will meet Dr. Heather Whittle Davis.
Our first step is to get to know you. We will start with discussing your current and past health history. You can share with the doctor any specific health concerns that you may have as well as your health and wellness goals.
Dr. Whittle Davis will discuss your healthcare options with you. She will let you know if you are a good candidate for chiropractic care as well as make recommendations of other healthcare professionals that you may want to include on your team. If chiropractic care is an option for you, it will be recommended that you have a chiropractic examination.
At The Wellpath Center, our examination and adjusting procedures are geared toward detection and correction of the "Vertebral Subluxation". The procedures we use are specifically selected for your spine and the health of your nervous system. First visit times vary depending on the needs of each individual but, the average first visit takes about an hour.
If time is a concern, you may download our new patient forms and complete them ahead of time. Please note: there are specific forms if you are a new patient who is coming to our office as a result of an auto accident, or you are completing paperwork for a child under the age of 12. Follow this link to our patient forms.
The exam is painless, usually takes less than 30 minutes and will include a computerized test called the Insight Subluxation Station. This is a two-part exam that checks the health of your nervous system. The Insight test gives the doctor a baseline so she can accurately measure your progress to see how your nervous system is responding during care.
Finally, each person is evaluated individually to determine the necessity of spinal radiographs, also known as, X-Rays. The doctor carefully weighs the benefits and risks of these tests and will only order spinal radiographs if she feels they are absolutely necessary.
With important information gathered during your first visit and examination, the doctor will take time to carefully evaluate the results of your first visit together. Taking into account your individual needs and health goals, she will prepare for your second visit together called the Report of Findings.
During your second visit, the doctor will review her findings and recommendations with you, including the results of your computerized testing and x-rays (if taken). If the doctor determines that your case is a good candidate for chiropractic care, she will give you her recommended care plan including visit frequency. The doctor will also answer any questions that you have at this time. If we are filing insurance for you, we will review your coverage with you and explain your payment options. This visit can vary in duration depending upon case complexity but, usually takes no more than 30 minutes.
The Wellpath Center is convenient to the residents of both Kennesaw and Acworth, located just off the Wade Green Road Exit of I-75. You'll find us at the corner of Cherokee Street and McCollum Parkway, 1 mile west of I-75.
